Abstract

Bullying, particularly in school settings, has emerged as a global issue frequently highlighted in both electronic and print media, indicating a continuous rise in its occurrence. The number of bullying incidents among school-aged children appears to be increasing each year. This study aims to examine the relationship between family support and bullying behavior among elementary school students. The research used a quantitative observational design. The study population consisted of 54 students from grades 4, 5, and 6, with a sample size of 41 respondents. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire. The analysis methods applied were univariate and bivariate analyses. The study results showed: (1) Over half of the respondents (63.4%) reported receiving poor family support, while only 36.6% received good family support in 2022; (2) More than half (56.1%) of the students exhibited high levels of bullying behavior, while 36.9% showed low levels of bullying behavior; and (3) A significant relationship was found between family support and bullying behavior, as indicated by the Lambda test with a p-value of 0.037 (p < 0.05).
